So this month my goal is to have my family's 72hr kits done and ready to go if needed, "so far so good". Eldric is at the age where he is starting to realize what is happing around the world, i can tell he is terrified, so my new saying is " Be prepared, not scared" in this i asked if he would like to help me with preparing the kits, he said no mom when we need to go i will just take the PS3 or the wii" WHAT? then i laughed i said how are you going to use it? there will be no power, so grandma Thomas says you need to take card games, so on that note reminder to put uno card game( lets face it i am good at winning this game) in the 72hr kit. Saturday Leslie and me went to the wards preparndes activity the girls came with, the instructor made a very good point have your kids help put the items together and let them paint or somehow design their bags that their stuff will go in, so when the time does come to get out they will not be so scared they will know that all the items they will need are safely gathered.
"BE PREPARED NOT SCARED"
